Puerto Roc Records Inc. was originally conceptualized in 1999 by it’s founder Jonathan Padilla who decided this name was fitting since he and his family are of Puerto Rican decent. The vision of Puerto Roc Records is to assist independent Hip Hop, R&B, and Rock artists in getting their music out to the masses in an affordable way. Puerto Roc Records is currently negotiating with Fredericks Entertainment to take care of Marketing, Promotion, Management, Licensing and Distribution through Universal Music Group.



E. Grizzly won the 2006 Independent Rap Artist of the Year at the 16th annual L.A. Music Awards. E. Grizzly's album Hip hop is dead! was nominated for Best Breakthrough Album of the year for an independent artist at the 16th Annual L.A. Music Awards. E.
